Let's cook some hair|| Avocado deep conditioner for 4C natural hair

You should be fine with these three (3) products (avocado, honey and olive oil), but I choose to add an half banana, castor- and coconut oil for extra moisture and shine.

I randomly just mix everything together and blended it with a regular blender from Lidl

I rinsed my hair with apple wine vinegar, before deep conditioning (It works as shampoo replacement)

Whenever I read 1 Corinthians 11:15’’But that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.’’ I got encouraged to look after my hair with love and tender, by giving it the proper care that it need, don’t get me wrong though ( ‘’I know it just hair’’). I have been lazy lately, but yesterday I decided to deep conditioner my hair not matter what and so I did it, by using…

·  Half normal size avocado

· Half normal size banana

· Castor-, Olive-, and coconut oil

And I just blended all together.

If you are reading this and you want to give this a try, I’ll suggest you to melt honey and oil separately and then mixt it with other products for a better result, ok?

God Bless you for reading!

Hair typing

Usually when people discuss hair types, they only talk about curl pattern. I personally don't talk about hair typing without talking about hair texture. Knowing your hair type won’t change anything in your hair journey expect putting you in a box and depress you especially if you are type 4? One thing I learn during my journey is that, the next girl may have the same curl pattern as me, but still our hair does not react the same to products or tools. To build up a proper hair routine or regimen we have to also consider our hair volume and consistency beside curl pattern.

Pattern:

1 = Straight Hair

2 = Wavy Hair

3 = Curly Hair

A = Curl diameter of sidewalk chalk

B = Curl diameter of a sharpie

C = Curl diameter of a pencil

*4 = Kinky Hair

A = Curl diameter of a needle

B = Zigzag curl pattern

C = No curl pattern

Volume: thin, normal, thick

Consistency: fine, medium, and coarse.

Porosity: Low, medium, high

Density: Low, medium, high

My thoughts on hair typing:

According the hair typing system; black people are categorised to have type 3 and 4 hair texture which I totally agree with.  Most of people may disagree with me in this one; according to what I have noticed- I have seen that our hair texture have something to do with our ethnics back ground if you go back to the history or to the ethnics groups of Africa, You will see that majority of  People with type 3 hair texture are people from the Horn of Africa( Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea etc.) and people with type  4 hair texture are from  central-, Southeast-, southern- and west Africa. So now if you have type 3 hair texture and you are not mixt, then you have 99% possibility of having some root from the Horn of Africa. If you have type 4 hair texture then you are probably a ‘’Zulu or Bantu’’ or any other ethnic from the rest of Africa . Ask your parents (grandparents), do some research you‘ll see that I’m almost right if not right.

But hey let concentrate on type 4 hair textures…

All head have several hair textures, it’s almost impossible to have one single texture. Even though I say my hair is 4 c I still believe that have 4a/b strands here and there, but in general my hair looks like ''4c'' all over.

Here’s in short the description of 4 hair types
